"I am packing in case
I have to evacuate because of wildfire"
There are two fires near me, one in Pecos (east of Santa Fe New
Mexico) and the other in the Jemez Mountains. Smoke is
hazardous, especially to me, and I have three filters
going. I have no evacuation plan like I had two years and
thirteen years ago in our big wildfires. I consulted the
Bible and received 2 Kings 22: 18-20, where Josiah consults
Huldah the Prophetess and receives the word that the land will
be destroyed because of wickedness, but Josiah would be gathered
to his fathers first. In the past I have evacuated first
to Albuquerque and then by plane to California, but California
is hazardous as well, and I don't feel led to start traveling
without further guidance. Prayers of course are sought for
me and for this community which has suffered a great deal from
fire and may do so even worse, but especially we are under
threat from smoke. The fire of 2011 destroyed all trees in
the NW of the town, and was held at bay by 1000 firefighters, so
there is not a lot of forest fuel to burn in the immediate
vicinity. But I am very sensitive to the toxins in smoke,
and no doubt others are as well. My town is Los
Alamos, New Mexico. Bless all. Mariel
