A United Nations human rights body released a report Thursday accusing Israeli forces of mistreating Palestinian children, including by torturing those in custody and using others as human shields.
 
“Palestinian children arrested by (Israeli) military and police are systematically subject to degrading treatment, and often to acts of torture, are interrogated in Hebrew, a language they did not understand, and sign confessions in Hebrew in order to be released,” the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child said in its report.
 
Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, said the report sounded dubious and redundant.
 
 
“Unfortunately this will be used by Israel’s enemies as a nice headline, but I think we all know that Israel doesn’t go around torturing children,” he told The Algemeiner.
 
The Israeli Foreign Ministry told Reuters it had responded to a report by the UN children’s agency UNICEF in March on ill-treatment of Palestinian minors, and dismissed the new report.
 
“If someone simply wants to magnify their political bias and political bashing of Israel not based on a new report, on work on the ground, but simply recycling old stuff, there is no importance in that,” spokesman Yigal Palmor said.
 
The report which claimed that children are often arrested arbitrarily by Israeli security forces voiced concern at the “continuous use of Palestinian children as human shields and informants,(???)” saying 14 such cases had been reported in the last three years alone.
 
In March, Palmor had said that Israeli officials had cooperated with UNICEF in its work on the report, with the goal of improving the treatment of Palestinian minors in custody.
 
“Israel will study the conclusions and will work to implement them through ongoing cooperation with UNICEF, whose work we value and respect,” he said.

Muslim lies and truth twisting being used by the top heavy Islam based UN. Hamas has trained this generation to “embrace death as heavily as Jews embrace life”. Palestinian children are taught by their mothers that they should desire martyrdom (shahada). A mother was given a seat in parliament when three of her 6 sons had died as suicide bombers killing many Jews at the same time. When Israel drops flyers over a rocket cache site warning them that in 20 minutes it will be bombed, (usually a school or high density apartment building)Hamas immediately recruits some women and children to die as martyrs for Allah. They think that they will immediately be in paradise, and to die as a martyr is the only way they have a guarantee they will ever get there. After that, they can blame Israel for targeting mothers and children. Children are taught to prepare A win/win for Hamas’ propaganda machine, which then can be utilised by the heavily Islamic laden UN. Hating Jews is a major hadith from Mohammed, and destroying Israel is a requirement that has to be fulfilled before the 12th Imam (Islamic messiah) can return. That is why Iran is so intent on building a nuclear bomb. It is dangerous for Israel to trust UNICEF, when they are saying that children are tortured and/or killed when they’re is no basis for saying they’re tortured and Islam is the reason that they are setting themselves up to be killed. If UNICEF DID THE SMALLEST AMOUNT OF RESEARCH THEY WOULD FIND THE TRUTH, and it will easily verify what I have stated.
 
 
MY COMMENT:
 
Where is a report COMDEMMING the Pelestinians for using HUMAN SHIELDS from which to launch rockets in Gaza.  And, If a family whose home/apartment building has been taken over COMPLAINS?   They know they would be killed, so they don't speak up!  
 
The same thing happens in S. Lebanon....and WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, in the NEXT big attack on Israel.
 
I DID NOT KNOW the part about
1) that Israel drops leaflets BEFORE they destroy a rocket site and
2) They were RECRUITING people to die when the strike happens.  (WHAT THUGS!)
and
3) I DID KNOW  they were using highly populated sites from which to launch rockets.  ( WHAT COWARDS!!)
 
what a world.......  right is perceived as wrong, and wrong as right.....   Poor Israel....they just can't win in the popularity vote around the world.  The world has been so AGAINST the JEWS for so many many centuries......
