"Hebrew 6 rethink"
What if Hebrew 6 is not a hypothetical or talking about sinning
but what if it is conditions set down by God for any who want to
willingly leave the faith??? Since we have free will would that
mean that one could choose to leave the Lord??? I don’t mean by
just backsliding but willfully choosing to leave. what if
Hebrews 6 is saying ‘ok if you want to leave having known the
truth you can BUT be advised you can NOT come back for to allow
you back would mean Christ would have to be crucified again.’
Some might say the person never really chose the Lord so they
thus could not leave the Lord. if true how can you tell who is
and isn’t Christian??? how can you tell then who is a
backslidden Christian and who never was a Christian?? Keep in
mind we are told a good tree can NOT produce bad fruit and a bad
tree can NOT produce good fruit. I looked at the entry for
Charles Schultz and was surprised after being a Sunday school
teacher and so many peanuts cartoons and strips with Christian
themes and bible verses that at the end of his life he was a
secular humanist. He obviously had good fruit so one can only
conclude he was Christian and then left the faith.
