"RE: Bonnie M--her comments on Randy's Bucket List"

Hello, John and Doves,

Sister Bonnie, here are some scriptures that bring me great comfort.

But first, I am reminded by the Holy Spirit that the voice of a friend in the morning can make your whole day.  Ask a friend to call, or call them, first thing in the morning--or mid-morning.

That will put the wind in your sails, and take you out of the doldrums!

    8You keep track of all my sorrows.

You have collected all my tears in your bottle.

You have recorded each one in your book.

Psalm 56:8  NIV

    1My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

Why are you so far from saving me,

so far from my cries of anguish?

2My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,

by night, but I find no rest.

3Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;

you are the one Israel praises.

4In you our ancestors put their trust;

they trusted and you delivered them.

5To you they cried out and were saved;

in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

Psalm 22:1-4  NIV

  5You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;

my cup overflows.

6Surely your goodness and love will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

forever.

Psalm 23:5-6  NIV

    3Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?

Who may stand in his holy place?

4The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,

who does not trust in an idol

or swear by a false god.

5They will receive blessing from the Lord

and vindication from God their Savior.

6Such is the generation of those who seek him,

who seek your face, God of Jacob.

7Lift up your heads, you gates;

be lifted up, you ancient doors,

that the King of glory may come in.

8Who is this King of glory?

The Lord strong and mighty,

the Lord mighty in battle.

Psalm 24:3-8  NIV

Why did Jesus say He came to fulfill the Law???
Because, as a man, He came to obey the Father.
As God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth, He came to fulfill His promises to Moses.
It is written,
    6“Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. 7I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. 8And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord.’ ”
Exodus 6:6-8  NIV
These are the LORD's seven "I will's", don't you know.  In the same way, the Church is promised New Jerusalem as our home forever.

Horses!?!?  What am I--or rather, what is the LORD--saying here?
    Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Luke 12:7  NIV

All right, all right...sparrows (!)...:  http://www.nordinfarms.com/blog/?page_id=2403.

When we return from New Jerusalem, we will be here:
    The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
Revelation 19:14  NIV

Yes, the LORD loves horses.  It is written,
    "The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is his name."
Exodus 15:3  ESV
[from the Song of Moses]

Finally [at least for this post], it is written,
    27Why do you complain, Jacob?

Why do you say, Israel,

“My way is hidden from the Lord;

my cause is disregarded by my God”?

28Do you not know?

Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary,

and his understanding no one can fathom.

29He gives strength to the weary

and increases the power of the weak.

30Even youths grow tired and weary,

and young men stumble and fall;

31but those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:27-31  NIV

Bonnie M (6 June 2013)
"
Re:  Randy's Bucket List"

I am going to attempt to make this post as brief as possible.

Whenever I read posts like Randy's and Jean's (a day or so ago); I find myself weeping half way through.  All I think about is heaven, the Rapture, Jesus, going Home.  Patience has not ever been a problem with me in the past.  Anticipated dates have come and gone and I have been "ok" with it knowing God's timing is perfect.

Seems like things have changed.  I watched a youtube series on WWII soldiers and POWs coming back to the States after their tours of duty.  It is sprinkled with scenes of soldiers breaking into tears at the sight of the coastline or dropping to their knees and kissing the ground.  I ponder if this will be how I will be; weeping and dropping to the ground to kiss the feet of our precious Saviour.  These songs break me up everytime:

Not that I am that great of a soldier - many have done so much more.  I just want to go home; I don't want to "occupy" anymore, and am ashamed I have lost my patience.  Jesus forgive me.

Should end my self-inflected pity party.  But please Jesus come and get us.  I am so tired of this place.
