Salvation is Only of God
16And he saw that there was
no man, and wondered that there was no
intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto
him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
17For he put on
righteousness as a breastplate, and an
helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the
garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad
with zeal as a cloke
[cloak].
18According to their
deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his
adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands
he will repay recompence.
19So shall they fear the name of
the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising
of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood,
the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard
against him.
The
Covenant of the Redeemer
20And the Redeemer shall come to
Zion, and unto them that turn from
transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
21As
for me, this is my covenant with them, saith
the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and
my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not
depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy
seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith
the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

Witness of John

6There was a man sent from God,

same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light,

was not that Light, but was sent to bear
witness of that Light.
9That was the true
Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the
world. 10He
was in the world, and the world was made by him, and
the world knew him not. 11He
came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received
him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on his
name: 13Which were born, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the
will of man, but of God.

Word Made His Dwelling among Us
(Psalm
84:1-12)
14And the Word was made
flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth. 15John
bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he
of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is
preferred before me: for he was before me. 16And of his fulness have all
we received, and grace for grace. 17For the law was given by
Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus
Christ. 18No man hath seen God at any
time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of
the Father, he hath declared him.
