I think the "gay" marriage issue is a great test for those who have professed to be followers of God.  More and more people I know are becoming supporters of this lifestyle due to a loved one being involved in it.  They find themselves at a crossroad that is very personal to them and convince themselves that homosexuality is not only ok, but a beautiful thing...because the person they love is expressing love through this relationship. Romans 1 explains the situation marvelously.  There is no stone unturned here.  There is a seductive spirit that leads people into this depravity.  So to "love" someone by supporting and embracing this sin, is loving the creation instead of the Creator....Pragmatism and Humanism.  And not really loving the person in truth at all.
