"Re: Mary Anna Mark 13:32 (June 22, 2013)"

Hello Mary Anna
YES; we should take this verse literally without question as we should all the Bible.
KJV that is. I know some here might not agree with KJV only-ers, but I have my reasons and I will just leave it at that.
This verse in Mark 13:32 is not complete without the prior verse. In the King James Bible we read:
Mark 13:31 and 32 together.
Heaven and earth [shall] pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of [that] day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
(the day and hour that heaven and earth shall pass away knoweth no man etc)
Not the coming of our Lord at the Rapture.
Those of us who are watching and not just we alone, but true believers in " the gospel of Jesus Christ" that believe, will not be taken by surprise at his return for us at the Rapture. We know the things to watch for, and we see these things already happening. Jesus will [not] come to us as a thief in the night, but rather; we are up and watching [and are not asleep] as those who know [not] our Lord, nor even give him a thought.
In Revelation 3:3 KJV
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee [as a thief], and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Now let us go to Revelation 16:15 KJV
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16) And he gathered them together into a place in the Hebrew tongue Ar-ma-ged'-don.
[THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST]
Notice that this verse in 1 Thessalonians 5:2,4 KJV
For yourselves know [perfectly] that " the day of the Lord" so cometh as a thief in the night.4)But ye brethren, [are not in darkness], that [that day] should overtake you as a thief.
Remember  John 10:10 KJV  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to [destroy]: I am come that [they] might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
I believe we can know the DAY, but not the hour Jesus comes.
Mark 13:35,36,37 KJV
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, [at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. AND WHAT I  SAY UNTO YOU I SAY UNTO ALL, "WATCH'.
Blessings to you
