I never knew about this tragic event had prophetic adverse effects. Is this scripture solely on the" House Of Israel" ? Or is it perhaps  a stern warning now to Israel. Your conviction seems so strong. Israel is right in there in a "gathering of a storm".

It may also apply to the latter part; when Israel has finally repented of their stubbiness,and are saved as a nation.

  

We live on the Same Date  & Timeline as Israel, but in the Southern Hemisphere. Always "watching on the wall".

The following Chap.2 verse 6 " For thus saith the Lord of hosts: Yet once, it is a little while,and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

Vs7. And I will shake all nations,and the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

Vs8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.

vs9.The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

 

Haggai is referring to the time after the Great Tribulation
