Doves,

 

I have posted several articles on the Doves site concerning the rapture of the church and the timing of that event. Recently I posted about Isaiah 18 and what I believe is the relevance of that scripture to the rapture.

 

One of my closing comments was.......

"The signs Isaiah gave us are staring us in the face. And considering other world and especially Middle East events I perceive we may be very close to the "big" trumpet blowing to bring us home."

 

Since then, in my quiet time with the Lord, I believe He is chastising me mentally (taking me to the woodshed) for trying to broadcast to myself and others that the rapture could be very near. My over-exuberance for this event to happen is leading me to make statements (like I made above) that may be way off the mark. I may be giving new and old Doves false hope that the big trumpet will blow any minute when indeed it could be years away.

 

The signs and forecasted happenings found in Isaiah 18, Matt. 24, Luke 21 and other areas are there to tell us when His coming is near. But define "near" from God's prospective.

 

I truly believe that many signs spoken of are presently lining up but there are other factors.....verses of scripture that I believe need to be fulfilled before He takes us away, like "the abomination of desolation" that is set up in the holy place.(Dan.12:11 and Matt.24) I'll try in the near future to post an article explaining the significance of this abomination that is to be "set up" in Jerusalem and how it relates to the rapture.

 

And once again forgive my exuberance with the rapture timing.......present day happenings that are fulfilling prophecy are causing me to make statements that I should not be making and should not have made concerning the nearness of His coming.

 

These "rapture time focus points" that may lead to false hope are rampant on the Doves site and may lead some Doves that are under extreme personal worldly stresses to get very discouraged and depressed when one of these "timings" doesn't happen.

 

For my part in this, if I have contributed to that climate.......please forgive me Doves and please forgive me Lord Jesus.
