"RE: Garry B: 06.12.13: Rev 11:1-2"

Garry,
Since the earthly tabernacle & temple were made after the pattern of what was in heaven:

I Chronicles 28:12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:
19 All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.

Exodus 25:40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

Is it possible that one of two things are happening?
1) If John is measuring the temple in heaven, is it then, by contrast, a pattern of what is going on down in Jerusalem at that same time?
2) If John is actually measuring a third temple built in Jerusalem

Either of these two would still indicate that, the Gentiles referred to, are on earth, trodding down Jerusalem for 3.5 years.

I believe that Israel shouldn't need a third temple, because of Jesus, but I agree with Frank, that it looks like they will have one, anyway.
At the moment, if they built it, over a billion of surrounding Muslims, would be incensed against Jerusalem.
