Jewish tradition states that Moses received the Law from God on Mount Sinai on Pentecost. 

I wondered if there was number evidence to tie the two together. 

Though it isn't exactly when Moses receives the two tablets of stone, Exodus 19 accounts the meeting of the people of Israel with God at the mount. 

I scanned the entire chapter, looking for what I considered the key verse. I was really on the hunt for a verse that had the words or concepts of "ascending" and "descending" in it. 

This is the verse:

Exodus 19:20

"And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up"

Pentecost is Strong's 4005g

4005 = 89 x 45

4005 is the 89th triangle number. 

Before I checked the verse numbers, I mentioned the Lord, "Lord, I really need to find the number 89 in this easily".

2047 = 89 x 23

The entire chapter is quite dramatic, and is what the writer of Hebrews is referring to in Hebrews 12. 

Jesus is Lord.
