"By still waters and
green pastures"
I went on my annual kayak canoe trip this weekend. I watched the
weather and threat of severe storms. The thing is I said I would
go so I went. The water was fast and high and I do not swim but
I always wear my lifejacket.
I floated by islands I could not put in to the water ran so
fast. I seemed seperated as usual between the group beghind and
the leaders up front.
I prayed to Jesus as I encountered rapids. No rain fell on the
group and we found a non flooded campsite two islands further
then we go usually.
I bring the bible and survival gear I am the only one that does
not drink But before I was born again I drank five or six pints
but now have no desire.
I try to witness by lending my gear an extra water what I can.
We share a love of the outdoors I just am no longer focused on
this world and feel less how to be anything but separated.
I am here in the flesh but my own spirit is not here. The still
waters were fast and treacherous in places. The green pastures
had stinging nettles and hogweed. That's this world an imperfect
decaying reflection of Heavan.
Don't be fooled into loving the reflection. I tried to tell my
friend Jesus was coming soon about Israel and the Mideast.
Without years of watching and reading abiding in the word it
just does not compute.
He said why worry I said I was not just working out my aalvation
with fear and trembling.
I prayed when the rains came and my shelter shook and we had a
morning without rain.
God led me beside still waters their getting less still and
green pasture that is turning into a mud pit with hogweed.
Just another reminder this world we are in is not to be the
focus it is just a reflection subject to vanity.
Jesus is the way the truth and the life He is the only way the
narrow path is to
Follow Him home.
He gave me strength to paddle not to tip and to find shelter in
the storm I thank The Lord for that.
I opened to the verse about eating and drinking with the
driunkem and beating the servants. I ate but my drink was water
and spirit and I realize Jesus is coming we all need to treat
others in the world in light of that reality.
If someone needs a water give it to him. Let your friend go
first. Feel sorry for the guy who cuts you off in traffic.
Try not to be that guy.
I wish I could give the living water I cry for to everyone but
its a drink you have to ask for.
Look up Jesus is coming be ready!
