"Very serious wildfire
here in New Mexico--judgement?"
It feels like judgement. Because I am
sensitive to the smoke. Most of us in Los Alamos evacuated
last year, but
not for long enough because the smoke lasted for months, causing
serious health problems except for those who
are tough enough to metabolize forest smoke and fire retardant.
I am not near the fire but I am near enough to live under a
smoke warning, which is dependent entirely on the winds.
I was treated in the hospital last week, and may need to be
again, but eventually I will have to evacuate, probably to the
coast
where I have human connections, and were the earthquakes are
coming, they warn.
Well feels like I can't do anything positive. Other than pray
and make sure the filter is on and air conditioner off and all
windows and doors closed.
This wildfire is already bigger than last year's, which was the
biggest in New Mexico history. 1200
fighters are on it. Many special technologies from out of
state. This means a lot of dumping of
toxic fire retardant. I will not hold up if I have to stay
under those conditions.
I feel God is judging us and prayers may be not effective
because of that. Perhaps prayers for us individuals who
are not equipped to stand smoke.
