Article: HOW READING THE BIBLE IN 100 DAYS CHANGED MY LIFE.....HMMmmmmmMy Comments:Hmmm.... apparently "alot of good things just started happening"... from front row seats for a hockey game (???) and met some famous sports figures...... (???) .... THIS is what you got from reading the Bible??? Ah, THIS WORLD's response to religion and "spiritual experiences...." YUCK!!1) I didn't know Maccabees was a book in the Old Testament.....so, it begs the question..... WHAT Bible was he reading?2) I would LOVE to Email him this question: So, if you died today and stood before God, and He says to you...."why should I let you into heaven"......what would YOU say?OR THIS Email...."Which is Jesus to you? A liar....a lunaic....or THE SON OF GOD----exactly who He said He was?"In other words......after reading the Bible i n100 days....did you walk away with a real understanding of God's word? Did you "see" Jesus in EVERY book in the Bible? Or, is Jesus just a good teacher.....teaching you to be a "better person."And, will your new "spiritualaity" continue to make "good things" happenin your life?3) The writer came up with 100 "most inspiring" Bible verses...... this is GOOD.... until I saw some were from Macabbees. Here is his quote:As the Book of Revelation (the last book I read and for that reason most on my mind today, Day 100 of this project) says, we'll never know what hour this world will end. But it will end. It's an important perspective, everything we know in this world will come to pass. It's why I want to live every day to its fullest, and continue to practice what I've learned these past 100 days in my daily life. I hope you'll consider reading the Bible too, and maybe you'll experience similar feelings with an open mind.My comment....I don't like to take a shot at someone who has just read the Bible.......but I simply HAD TO write this.If you can't come away from this experience with something MORE PROFOUND than: "good things started to happen in my life, like front row hockey tickets..." then I think you MISSED what you were supposed to learn from this expeience. And I am sorry for you......One of his quotes though, was: But if you will not be vigilant, then I will come to you like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.Hmmmm.....I suggest Thesoloaians 5:1 - But you brethren, are not of darkness that this day would overtake you as a thief. In other words....those who are WATCHING will KNOW.That's what I thought.....so I AM watching......and this is what the Lord has told me:We both have read the Bible.....and we came up with very different results. And, even I'm not right about this...I will NEVER hope that the Lord will reach down from heaven and give me front row hockey tickets!!But please.....don't tell people "they can have all kinds of amazing things (that just don't matter) happen in their life....." if they would only read the Bible....."with an open mind" (???)YFIC,Randy
