John and Doves,

 

The number 153 has been mentioned a few times recently so I felt compelled to mention that I drive by

the number 153 twice every day to and from work. Can you see it on the LH ship?

For several weeks now HMAS Stuart has been undergoing some kind of refit here in Henderson, Western

Australia. She is high and dry out of the water with her sister ship HMAS Arunta (FFH151). They are both

Anzac Class frigates.

 

I was once in the Royal Navy many years ago and visited Perth in HMS Chichester (F59) about 1970.

She was a frigate also but about 1,000 tons less displacement than these Aussie ships.
