Hello, John and Doves,The second oracle of Balaam is to be found in the parshah for "Balak," the 40th weekly Torah portion and the 7th portion in Numbers.In this parshah, we find:“Arise, Balak, and listen;
hear me, son of Zippor.
19God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
20I have received a command to bless;
he has blessed, and I cannot change it.
21“No misfortune is seen in Jacob,
no misery observed in Israel.a
The Lord their God is with them;
the shout of the King is among them.
22God brought them out of Egypt;
they have the strength of a wild ox.
23There is no sorcery against Jacob,
no divination against Israel.
It will now be said of Jacob
and of Israel, ‘See what God has done!’
24The people rise like a lioness;
they rouse themselves like a lion
that does not rest till he devours his prey
and drinks the blood of his victims.”
Did you see it? "Arise, Balak and listen...."I think God has a sense of humor.The Defiler has a completely warped sense of Isaiah 9:10.Clearly, Zero gets his fabulous [NOT!] ideas by the process of elimination, from where the sun don't shine.It is written,"This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil."Therefore, it is also written,"Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done."Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."For that reason, since The Defiler is wise in his own eyes, it is written of him,18The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 19As the Scriptures say,“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”e
Go figure! God is holy, and there is none like Him.
It is written,
"The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them."
In fact, even though the people of God may cry out,
"1My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from the words of my groaning?
2O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, and am not silent."
Yet, it is written,
"3Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the praise of Israel.a
4In you our fathers put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.
5They cried to you and were saved;
in you they trusted and were not disappointed."
Therefore, let Balak not trust in his curses, but rather he should trust to the everlasting promises of ADONAI to His people, Eretz Israel, whose capital is eternally Yerushalayim!
"Give the LORD no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth."
