"How to determine Pentecost--look at the calendar!"

Hello, John and Doves,

For all those who do not wish to re-invent the wheel:

How to determine Pentecost--look at the calendar!

http://www.aish.com/jl/hol/o/48970511.html

[This a Jewish, non-messianic site, so they have no axe to grind.]

The Jewish holidays are for Jews, eh?  [Actually, they are the LORD's appointed times.  And He is not the author of confusion; we are!  Ha Ha]

You'll find that the calendar that is named after the people who use it (i.e. "Jewish Calendar") have decided that Shavuot (which in the Koine Greek is called Pentecost) shall always and forevermore be on 6 Sivan on any given year.  Who are we to tell the Jews what to do with their calendar?

'Twere the AC, he'd have any dissenter arrested and put in a FEMA camp!  LOL

Back to basics....  According to both Jewish and Catholic calendars, this is a year of perfect reckoning,
since both agree that Day 40 of the Omer was May 17, 2012, which was Ascension Thursday, a Holy Day of Obligation.

End of story.

Baruch HaShem Adonai Roi,
Mike C.
