I’ve enjoyed the 5 Doves website since 12/29 or 12/30/2011 when I followed a link here from another website to a Ron Reese posting.
I’ve been a watcher since the 4th grade after a dream, which I have never forgotten. I’ve had apocalyptic dreams ever since, but the first one was very special and different from all the others. I’m 40-something now. I’ve had a date in mind since 2003 (not based on dreams or personal revelation but history and a little math).
In the December 2003 issue of Israel Today on page 19 is an article called “The Mystery of the Eight or Nine Jubilees.”
The article states…
Jerusalem Torah scholar Shabbtai Shiloh believes that 1967 marked the end of Daniel’s 2,300 days, which began with the destruction of the temple in 70 AD (Daniel 8:13-14)… Shiloh referred to the writings of two Jewish sages, Yehuda ben Samuel (known as Yehuda the Hassid) and the Gaon of Vilna….
Yehuda the Hassid (1150-1217) was the founder of Jewish mysticism in Germany…As a mystic; he saw no contradiction between the Bible and science. He made Biblical computations using Gematria. Yehuda interpreted the command to love God with all your heart, soul, and strength (Deuteronomy 6:5) to include the depths of the intellect. While he was a mystic, he was also a realist, which provided common ground with the
anti-mystic, the Gaon of Vilna (1720-1797), a mathematician and the father of scientific Biblical research. The Gaon adopted some of Yehuda’s ideas, including his calculation of the 8 or 9 jubilees…The Goan believed that the Ottoman conquest of Jerusalem was a significant historical milestone. According to his calculations, the 8 or 9 jubilees began with the Ottoman conquest in 1517. Jerusalem would be in the hands of the Ottomans for 8 jubilees before being liberated from them. Afterward, Jerusalem would remain a no-man’s-land for one more jubilee, coming into Jewish hands again at the end of the 9th jubilee. This would begin the last days before the coming of the Messiah.
Eight jubilees total 400 years; 1517 plus 400 is 1917. Amazingly, this was the year that Britain’s General Allenby captured Jerusalem from the Ottomans. For the next 50 years, no one ruled the entire city, until the Israelis reunited it in 1967, exactly one jubilee later.
Yehuda the Hassid formulated the theory of 8 or 9 jubilees around the year 1200, about 300 years before the Ottoman conquest, when the count of the 8 jubilees began. The Gaon of Vilna confirmed it about 200 years before the end of the 9th jubilee (1967). So when the Israelis recaptured East Jerusalem in 1967, the last days before the coming of the Messiah began.

Years ago in the Bridges for Peace/Israel Teaching Letter (mid 1990’s maybe) they covered the laws of Jubilee. I looked on their website’s archives, and they do not go back that far. After reading that teaching letter about Jubilee, I have always remembered it like this following “parable.” Let’s say my dad passed away in 2000 and left me the family farm of 1000 acres. I kept it for 5 years but then, like a fool, I sold it in 2005 for 700,000. Under Jewish law, this inherited land that was sold carries a clause for the buyer. The buyer is told the land he wants to purchase falls under the jubilee/inheritance law. He can buy the land, but the family of the seller can come back in 45 years (year 2050) to reclaim their inheritance and can legally buy back the land for the selling price of 700,000. The land can be deforested and the wood sold, it can be farmed. However, the buyer is advised not to build any permanent structures for 45 years because he may take a loss if any son, grandson, or legal heir wants to reclaim the family farm. This Jubilee law would apply exclusively to this land transaction only and would have nothing to do with the “national” Jubilee which the people of Israel observed.
Now apply this to the Temple Mount. It was purchased by David and recorded somewhere in Genesis. David had sinned and wanted to build an alter. David bought a threshing floor (the future Temple Mount) from a man who offered to give it to him because he was the king. However, David insisted on buying it. This temple mount is family land of King David’s. His son Solomon built a temple there. The land has never been bought or sold, only won control over by war. It has always changed ownership or control by loss of blood, not exchange of cash. When Israel captured the Temple Mount in 1967, they had it, what a total of 48 hours, and turned it over to someone else to basically control. (foolish heir) Now it is going to take a rightful heir to legally, according to God’s law, take it back. This is so no being, either physical or spiritual, can call God a lawbreaker of his own laws. I’ve heard it said before that the scroll with the seals in Revelations is the title deed to the earth. What if it is the title deed to the Temple Mount, and the time has come for a legal transfer which no demon, principality, power, or human can dispute.
Now, just a simple, consumer math graduate’s take on the numbers…
Take June 12, 1967 (I’m starting here because my high school history book printed this as the end of the 6-day war, which God only knows the exact time control of the temple mount transferred in June 1967) add 50 years (figuring a lunar year of 360 days for a total of 18,000 days) and you have September 22, 2016. This is the day the current owner/controller of the temple mount will have to vacate if there are any rightful heirs wanting to reclaim the land.
Minus 7 years and you have October 29, 2009 (I don’t know - Did anything special happen on this day?) This date is possibly the start of the 7-year tribulation. If it’s a mid-tribulation rapture then add 3 1/2 years (figuring lunar year of 360 days for a total of 1260 days) and you have April 11, 2013 for a possible mid-tribulation rapture date.
Even though I have this date in mind, I celebrate every rapture watch date I hear about. It’s like the hurricane parties my parents would have when they lived in the Gulf Coast area. It’s a time to bunker up at home for prayer, Bible study, and a celebration with a good meal and maybe a campfire in the backyard while we sit outside and watch the sky.
