If we look at this phrase " the desire of women" as if the writer [Daniel] is speaking of a goddess, rather than as it is written "nor [the] desire of women" it is a question of hermonutics.
The text clearly says " nor THE desire of women " nor ANY god: for he shall magnify himself above all. BUT in his ESTATE will he HONOUR the God of forces: and a god his fathers knew not shall he honour WITH gold , and silver and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
Ishtar/Astarte will be in IDOL form in his estate and he will honour her....WAYS.
ISHTAR known by many names in many cultures is " the god of forces" a goddess of war amoung other things, and sensual, and sexual perversion, and has no husband.
Ishtar / Astarte etc. Same goddess different name.
One must ask:
What is THE DESIRE OF WOMEN ?............................. in the context of this verse. Daniel 11:37,38

Answer: To have a husband.

the question is Not : What god or goddess is only worshiped by women ? because he will not regard ANY god.
Remember Revelation states that this Harlot says " I am no widow ". denoeting she has never had a husband. Nor does she need one. What did God say when He created man and woman ? Be fruitful and multiply. Union of man and woman. Otherwise why didn't God just create only Adam ?


We the Bride are waiting for our Groom/husband. To be married to him,[ marriage super of the Lamb].
Noah was [not] going to take a wife because he knew God was going to destroy the earth by the flood.

The desire of women is to have a husband.

Babylon has always been the center of the pagan idol/false worship. When one Empire took over another, they took their gods with them and gave them a different name for the same god. Ishtar and Astarte etc. Same goddess.
