"To Patti C--- Beautifully expressed! (and another story, as well)"

Patti,
'Just wanted to say how much I was blessed by your touching and wise letter about your sister......It hurts, doesn't it, that your loved one doesn't listen to Truth!

My DH, John, and I both have loved ones who think we have gone off the deep end about faith, and who either humor us, or put on those "deer in the headlights looks"  They live in "the real world" and consider us lovable kooks....

They think:  After all, they haven't killed anyone or robbed a bank, so God---"at a distance" as in the pop song goes--if He exists at all--will bring out His balance scale to weigh their good deeds against the bad.  And VOILA! They make it into heaven!

All we can do sometimes--well, most of the time--is to pray for our children who are far from God.  They're grown up now, and will seldom really listen. ( Prophecy is fine for us, because we're old and eccentric.  They know we have forever......(SIGH!!)

Can I share a personal tale?  My daughter "Mary" is an assistant professor in women's studies/ethnic diversity (you can guess where this is leading, right? :( )  She once believed--or I thought she did---but now has no faith.  She and her "partner"--wife?--had a little boy, our precious grandson (This is not his fault, of course)
Mary adopted the child her partner carried.  I love Mary with all my heart and grieve so for her.  I asked her a couple of years ago, "Honey, if John and I disappear--and millions of others disappear---would you take a second look at what you used to believe?" She chuckled and said, "Mom, if that happened I guess I'd have to!"

Well, now she has a little son, and if we are called Home in the Rapture he will be too  (He's not quite 1 yr old)
They may be holding him at the time, and--in the twinkling of an eye---he's gone.  We feel this may be the experience which couldn't help affecting her worldly, politically-correct life view.
It'll come at a cost (her probable death) but she will then know that God's Word is true, and will return to the Lord.

'Appreciate your prayers for her--(God knows her real name :))
Let's lift up prayers for all of our unsaved loved ones, and for all who are far from God--that He would bring just the right person into their lives to witness in a way they can understand.

Time is so short, now!

'Praying to meet you all soon! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

In His Love,
YSIC, Jan
