"MILQUETOAST BELIEVERS"

John:  Thank you so much for this forum that allows us to rant and rave.  We are all doing the best that we can to hang in there for just a little bit longer.   God bless you John for all of your time, diligence, patience, discernment, and love!!!

Doves:

Some may not agree with this analogy, but if we are totally honest with ourselves – we deal with this EVERY DAY of our lives.

MILQUETOAST BELIEVERS

You ask them if they’ll accompany you to church,

And they can’t wait to get in the car,

Then afterward they proceed to bet their savings,

On the horse races down at Del Mar.

They hear the sermon,

Their emotions are stirred,

But when they walk out those doors,

It’s as if they hadn’t received a word.

They headed “The Call”,

Down the Alter they strode,

But at the end of the service,

Jesus could still find no room for abode.

I’m tired of hearing their idleness of words,

Their contrived enthusiasm means nothing to me,

Until they ultimately believe in the sacrifice of Jesus,

They will always be captives who are never set free.

We’ve all met them,

They utter their lame professions,

But their hearts are never repentant,

And don’t believe their half-hearted confessions.

They encompass every faction of society,

We’re outnumbered and surrounded,

And you would be shocked at what they are really thinking,

They will be lost as the Last Trumpet is sounded.

We’ve all heard them say “I love the Lord”,

But that is anything but true,

They are blinded by their own self-lusts,

On the “Highway-to-hell” without a clue.

Loving the Lord is more than idle words,

It is a heart-felt desire within,

The Holy Spirit can only commune,

With a body that is cleansed from its sin.

Jesus cleanses us, Jesus saved us, and Jesus will rapture us!!   Words do not suffice – only a purity of heart.

I’m tired of the professing heathen who claim to believe in Jesus, but never really give Him a thought.  Jesus has stated that He will spew them out of His mouth.  No matter how much they talk about “righteous behavior”, their deeply-repressed sins without acknowledging their Savior gives them away.  Jesus has never known them.  They are after their own interests, not the Will of God.

We all know them, we have to deal with them, we have to live with them, we have to work with them, but we don’t have to be of them.  We are only saved because of Jesus, not because of ourselves.  I guess that I have taken a long time to say that IT IS HARD TO LIVE AMONGST THEM!!    Please Jesus, come and take us out of this fake, contrived, deceitful world.

Nuff said.   I look forward to meeting all you true-believers very soon!!!!
