"Last chance to make your election sure"

Dear Folks:

I posted a slimmer version of this once before.  I think it needs said again.

Blessings

It was Joshua who said, “Choose ye this day whom you will serve, but as for me and house, we will serve the Lord”.  This famous quote from the Bible account of Joshua’s victories in the holy land and later his upbraiding of the children of Israel for their forsaking the God of Abraham, tells us the position of Joshua.  He was a sold out child of God, the King.  His being before the cross makes no difference.

Today, dear children of God, you and I are being challenged to be able to say these same words.  Can you?  I can, I believe.  My household at this time, is limited to myself and my wife.  I cannot say that all of our relatives feel the same way that we do.  Sadly, many of you are experiencing the same rejection as I am in this regard.

Jesus Christ is coming for a chaste Bride.  He is demanding full surrender to Him and repentance of all sins that we know of.  He is demanding daily living for Him, and withdrawal from this wicked, evil world system that so captivates men and women in its web of greed and lasciviousness.  I’m sorry, but the letters on many websites today are screaming the soon return of Jesus Christ for His Bride.  Time is virtually up.  Decisions MUST be made now, if a decision is going to do you any good.  I am speaking to you who need to make your election sure.  We must be ready spiritually if we are to be caught up as the Bride.  No spot, no wrinkle of any kind is allowed.  Thank God, He can cleanse in a second’s time.

Folks, the hour is very, very late.  There is almost no time left so now is the time to buy it up because the days are evil.  On every hand there is trouble beyond man’s ability to either comprehend or control.  God is tightening His grip on a Christ-rejecting world and many are on the wrong road, and definitely on the wrong side of God.

I heard of a man in the darkest of prisons, up to his neck in stench, and vile odor.  His waste water system was clogged and no one cared.  Filthy water was all over the floor of his cell.  A kindly minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ came to visit him on the chance that he might accept the WAY to eternal life.  He absolutely refused.  As the guard ushered the man of God out of the cell area, away from the filth and stench of sewage, the minister turned and said over his shoulder in the most urgent voice he could muster, “Won’t you please accept Jesus?”

Here is what the man said:  “Even though I am in the prison (of sin), up to my neck is sewage (of sin), and the stench (of sin) is unbearable, I still cannot accept Jesus Christ because I AM NOT READY TO GIVE IT ALL UP.  I WANT TO FIRST SOW MY WILD OATS, HAVE MY AFFAIRS, DO AS I PLEASE, then, perhaps I will be ready to do as you ask”.

Do you see? It isn’t that men do not realize that God is real, and that His Son is equally real, but it is that they consider God too confining.  What a tragedy, that men think this world system and all of its rot is better than surrendering to the Lord Jesus Christ and inheriting heaven.

I can do nothing about much of what is going on.  But I can write to you, and plead with you, dear brother or sister, or dear lost one, to be ready to meet Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom seeking His bride.  Do whatever it takes because I believe that time is up.

I am part of the bride, are you?

Please, please make your election sure today.  Don’t delay.
