"Computer
Age...blessing and cursing"
I spoke to a man tonight who is a professional computer
engineer. He works for a company that is developing scam and
spam killing programs. We spoke for awhile and I broached
the subject of the evil in our world today. He said, “I mean
no offense to you, but you really have no idea how evil the
digital world is. Did you know that only 1% of the billions
upon billions of messages in the world are true messages?
The rest are either scam or spam”. I asked for a definition
of these two terms as to how they differ one from the other.
He replied, “scam is email intended to deceive and to steal by
deception. For example, scam is disguised to look like, say,
Amazon, when it is not. If a person opens it, thinking it is
Amazon, it triggers a gimmick aimed at getting a person to buy a
deal. The problem is you give your credit card information
and get nothing in return. Sometimes it develops into
identify theft. Spam is advertising email that nobody asked
for. It is almost overwhelming, the amount of it posted
daily. Scam is called Pfishing, and spam is called “digital
junk mail”. After discussing this for awhile, he finally
said that most people have no real idea of just how evil the whole
world has become through internet access.
That brought to mind what God said about the world of Noah, just
before He brought judgment in the form of overwhelming
flood. “Every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually”. That is true of our world
today. Greed has such a hold on the thoughts and intents
that people are unmercifully scammed at every turn, except for
strict enforcement of laws preventing it. Even so, much
damage is done. Pornography made easy by internet access has
invaded so many homes, even “Christian” ones, that it is being
called epidemic in its scope. Computer games have dumbed
down almost the entire young generation through computers,
iphones, ipads, cell phones, etc. Lying is commonplace and
bullying is also epidemic. These lead to robberies,
embezzlements, and even murders. Gossip has done a great
deal of damage in the world’s church congregations as well.
No wonder God, who sees the heart, has pronounced his judicial
finding on today’s world as He did in the days of Noah. And
remember Lot’s world, the world of aberrant sexual behavior and
idol worship. God sent nuclear fire on his cities in order
to destroy such abominable things from before His eyes. And
Christian, remember Lot’s wife, whose heart did not go with God,
but stayed behind, her body becoming a pillar of salt. “Love
not the world, neither the things of the world” (1 John
2:15). God is almost through with this world. He is
preparing even now to restore planet earth to the pristine
condition it first had when He created Adam and placed him in the
garden called Eden. I believe it will be a pole shift which
will trigger earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis,
etc. The earth is going to be restored to prepare for
the coming Kingdom Age. That is all there is to it.
And God will use the destruction to judge sinful, Christ rejecting
humanity. So, the message is “Prepare to meet thy
God”.
Remember, God sees the heart, not what we do, but what we intend
to do, whether we ever carry out those intents or not. That
is why you can’t fool God. He will not waver or set aside
His rules for being worthy before Him. The worthiness MUST
BE IN THE HEART. You must want to obey God, and then try
your best to do it. His words will instruct you as to
how. READ THE BIBLE.
For those who love the Lord Jesus Christ, His demands are not
hard. He declared that His yoke is easy, and His burden is
light. It brings joy to the doer, but the doer must have the
right heart. To have the right heart requires the new birth.
Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your heart. I
implore you, live for Christ and prepare to escape this terribly
spiritually dark world before it is too late. Make your
election sure.
Blessings
