"Perception can blind us to reality"

Perception and reality are not necessarily linked-
2 Timothy 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Approved-  to be judged favorably

Dividing- to separate into groups; classify; to make or keep separate

The instruction in 2Timothy 2:15 is to correctly seperate texts in the truth of God's word.

Notice no where in the following verse, is the word Peace used-

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The AntiMessiah confirms the covenant, he doesn't make one himself.

confirms- to corroborate; verify

corroborate- To strengthen, and support

Dan9:27 doesn’t refer to it as a “peace treaty” but a “covenant,” which AntiMessiah confirms with- many nations.

And if he confirms it, then that means it is something that was created before he arrives on the scene.

And if this covenant has to be supported by him, that means that it hasn't been for some time, and hence, there is a time-gap in it.  So the covenant of Daniel 9:27 cannot be looked upon as being sequential in it's completion and therefore

it is no time-marker.

God has purposely scrambled and divided his word so the serious students can be judged favorably just as he promised in 2Timothy 2:15.  And that's why we're advised to study it.

God's word is very important to him.

What's the one thing that God exalts above everything else?
His word. All of it gets fulfilled.

Psalms
138:2
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

John
 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Great tribulation and tribulation are not the same.

We are clearly already in tribulation- Distressing times.

Our Liberties are diminishing.

The Mark of the Beast is encroaching upon us.

The clear falling away that the Apostles Peter and Paul warned of, is happening.

Pastors are being arrested on Fraud, some are admitting to child molestations, still others to homosexual activity, some even taking their own lives.

Did the early Church know the exact time period that they lived in?  No, they had to seriously study God's word.

And we are no different.
