"Ms.Suu Kyi - hope and rule of law"
Ms.Suu Kyi at the World Economic Forum in Thailand, was truly inspirational. She spoke of 'hope and rule of law.' Two things she knows thoroughly well. And she represents both, by staying alive.Suu Kyi got pilot's view on historic trip abroad May 31st, 2012BANGKOK - Aung San Suu Kyi delighted the World Economic Forum by sharing an anecdote about her arrival into Bangkok after 24 years of isolation in Myanmar.
Suu Kyi said Friday that the captain of her Thai Airways flight was "so very kind as to invite me to sit in the cockpit."
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate, who this year made the journey from political prisoner to parliamentarian, said was "completely fascinated by the lights" of Bangkok.
The city is a stark contrast to Yangon, where rolling blackouts due to electricity shortages have spurred protests for more than a week.
She drew laughter from the audience by adding, "What went through my mind was, 'We need an energy policy!'
-The two things she spoke so informatively of, are hope and structure. Without hope, mankind will never seek to emulate Christ the Lord. And, without realizing it, structure is what keeps us grounded in hope.
Mankind's structure is about to fall apart, and the destroyer will soon be cast to earth.Mid-Point - March 21st 2013
