You were on my mind this morning when I was praying. Thank you for encouraging us! Praying you are encouraged too in the midst of what you are going through.

My grandparents were my refuge when I was little. My home was somewhat abusive growing up and often I could be found in their home instead.

I left home when I turned 17 and my grandparents asked me to come visit them where they had retired in a small town several hours away. When I did they asked me not to leave but to live with them and finish high school.

They were always "there" for me until they passed away in 2006 and 2007. Frequently afterwards I visited their grave sites and wept and thanked them and God over and over... finally having some understanding of the sacrifices they made for me.
