Paul N. F. cries from the grave
calling for obedience
Quoting A. W. Tozer Paul N. F. is telling us “Prayer Is Never a
Substitute for Obedience.”
Catholics use confession as a substitute for obedience and
Protestants use prayer. Many end their day with a prayer of
forgiveness with no intention of looking up to see what
commandments they are transgressing.
Paul quotes: “A church, for instance, follows its traditions
without much thought about whether they are scriptural or not.”
Mark 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the
commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Maybe we want to remain ignorant of all the commandments because
of what James said: “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good,
and doeth it not, to him it is sin (Jas 4:17).
It’s interesting and important to talk about the Rapture and
watch as the end times come upon us but don’t you want to be
ready? Look, these believers will be the ones ready for the
rapture –
Re 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that
keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Re 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they
may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the
gates into the city.
Two requirements – Obeying the commandments and faith in Jesus!
Paul quotes: “What has gone wrong? Simply this: Neither the
leaders nor the people have made any effort to obey the Word of
God.”
Let’s not kid ourselves, it’s great to have all these stories,
videos, and insightful articles but none of them can substitute
what God asks of us.
Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have
received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more
sacrifice for sins.
