I am amused at the vast amount of speculation concerning an object heading to transit the Sun on September 26, 2011. NASA identifies it as comet Elenin. If the Earth were 1 inch, this object would be 40 times smaller than the width of a human hair passing 127 yards away. Others claim it is a dwarf star of immense density that is nearly a black hole and NASA is trying to cover it up to not cause the public panic. There is one who is even claiming that the planetary alignments with Elenin are the cause of the large earthquakes.
I can observe the planetary alignments and see a possible connection to seismic activity, but in all honesty, I can’t imagine how one would cause the other because the size and distances are so far apart. With the formula that shows that gravitational attraction decreases as the distance to a mass increases, the weight of a 1 ton object on the earth is only .6 lbs at a distance to the moon. The weight of a 1 million tons at the closest approach of Venus is 55 lbs. and 3.75 lbs. at the distance to the Sun. That is assuming the weight is concentrated extending out from a point on the surface of the earth.
It is hard to imagine the effect of the gravitational pull of something so far away and the orbital effect that neutralizes the gravitational pull with centrifugal force. The Sun’s gravitational pull on a 1 ton object is only 1.25 lbs. at the distance from the Sun to the Earth assuming the object is not orbiting the Sun.
I say all that to say that Elenin is very unlikely to cause any noticeable disturbance in the Earth.
HOWEVER, it’s alignments appear to be prophetic.
Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948. Comet Elenin will pass between the Earth and the Sun on September 26, 2011.

If you look carefully, you will see God’s hand carving His Word. If you NOTICE God, then you will SEE Him.
Sometime on September 26, 2011, Elenin will be .386 AU from the Earth.

I LOVE the verses that are being pointed at, BUT I don’t think we will see the resurrection UNTIL we can notice God’s Voice shining through the Heavens declaring His Glory. But if you ask me, I think the timing of Elenin is pretty awesome because it is declaring God’s Glory to any who is listening.
