Ernie, the above link is a good place to investigate theological terms, such as daemons and fallen angels. I read elsewhere that the fallen angels mated with the daughters of men producing the giants, or Nephilim, described in Genesis 6. The demons were then the spirits of the giants when they were destroyed by the Flood.
