Matthew
5:8
Blessed are
the clean of
heart, for they will see God.
Matthew 7:22-23
The lamp of the
body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole
body will be filled with light; But if your eye is bad your whole body
will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how
great will the darkness be.
Matthew 7:24-27
``Everyone``
who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise
man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and
the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had
been set solidly on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of
mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house
on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and
buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completly
ruined.``
Matthew 8:21
Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord, will enter
the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father
in heaven.
Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, `` whoever wishes to come
after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
(obedience to God, to seek to please Him daily, DAILY CONVERSION
and sacrifice)
Matthew 18:2-3
He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, ``Amen, I say to you,
unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the
Kingdom of heaven.
(innocence and
purity of a child is crucial to ENTER the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN)
Matthew 5:28-29
But
I say to you, every one who looks at a woman with lust has already
committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you
to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one
of your members than to have your whole body thrown into Gehenna.
John 8:31-32
Jesus
then said to those Jews who believed in Him, ``If you remain in my
word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the
truth, and
the truth will set you free.
John 14:15
If you love me,
you will keep my commandments.
1 Corinthians 7:15
Do you not know that your bodies are members
of Christ?
shall I then take Christ`s members and make them the members
of a prostitute? of course not!
1 Corinthians
7:19-20
Do you know
that your
body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God,
and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price.
Therefore glorify God in your body.
2 Corinthians 5:1-4
For
we know that if our earthly dwelling, a tent, should be destroyed, we
have a building from God, a dwelling not made with hands, eternal in
heaven. For in this tent we groan, longing, to be further clothed with
our heavenly habitation if indeed, when we have taken it off, we shall not be found
naked. For while we are in this tent we groan and are
weighed down, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be further clothed, so that what is
mortal may be swallowed up by life.
2 Corinthians
5:6-10
So we are always
courageous, although we know that while we are at home in the body we
are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yet we are
courageous, and we would rather leave the body and go home to the
Lord. Therefore we aspire to please him,
whether we are at home or away.
For we must all appear before the Judgment seat of Christ, so that
each
one may receive recompense, according to what he did in the body,
whether good or evil.
2 Corinthians 5:16-17
Consequently, from now on we
regard no one according to the flesh; even if we once knew Christ
according to the flesh, yet now we know him so no longer. So whoever is
in Christ is a new Creation: the old things have passed away; behold,
new things have come.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from
every defilement of flesh and spirit, making holiness perfect
in the fear of God.
Romans 6:1-4
What then shall we say? shall we persist in sin that grace may abound
of course not! How can we
who died to sin yet live in it? or are you unaware that we
who were
baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? we were indeed
buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was
raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in
newness of life.
Romans 6:6
We know that our old
self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be done away
with, that we might no longer be in slavery to sin.
Romans 6:11
Consequently, you
too must think of yourselves as being dead to sin and living for God in Christ
Jesus.
Romans 8:5-9
For those who live
according to the flesh are concerned with the things of the flesh, but
those who live according to the spirit with the things of the spirit.
The concern of the flesh is death, but the concern of the spirit is
life and peace. For the concern of the flesh is hostility toward God;
it does not submit to the law of God, nor can it it; and those who are
in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh; on the
contrary, you are in the spirit, if only the Spirit of God dwells
in
you.
Romans 12:9
Let love be sincere; hate what is evil, hold on to what
is good.
Colossians 3:5-6
Put to death, then, the
parts
of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil
desire, and the greed that is idolatry. Because of these the wrath of
God is coming ``upon the disobedient.``
Hebrews 12:14
Strive for peace with everyone, and for that holiness without
which no one will see the Lord.
Revelation 3:18-19
I
advice you to buy from me gold refined by fire so that you may be rich,
and white garments to put on so that your shameful nakedness may not be
exposed, and buy ointment to smear on your eyes so that you may see. Those whom I love, I
reprove and chastise. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.
Revelation 16:15
(``Behold, I am coming like a thief.`` Blessed is the one who
watches and keeps his clothes ready, so that he may not go naked and
people see him exposed.)
Revelation 22:11
Let the wicked still act wickedly, and the filthy still be filthy. The righteous still do
right, and the holy still be holy.``
Revelation 22:12
Behold, I am coming soon. I bring with me the recompense I will give to each
according to his deeds.
