To Bruce Warner: Regarding the "temple" in 2 Thess 2:1-4 and Rev 11:1-2

2 Thess 2:1-4 KJV " Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple g3485 of God, shewing himself that he is God."

Rev 11:1-2 KJV "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple g3485 of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty [and] two months."

"temple" Strong's G3485 - naos  1) used of the temple at Jerusalem, but only of the sacred edifice (or sanctuary) itself, consisting of the Holy place and the Holy of Holies (in classical Greek it is used of the sanctuary or cell of the temple, where the image of the god was placed which is distinguished from the whole enclosure)

According to this definition, a whole new temple doesn't need to be constructed. This word only requires a place to offer a sacrifice. It has been reported that a group of Jews are constructing the prefabricated materials necessary to set up on the temple mount to start sacrifices in a very short period of time.
