"As it was in the days of Lot"

Dear John and Five Doves community:

The eruption of Yellowstone would not surprise me, nor would a Cascadia subduction zone event, a San Andreas earthquake, or a New Madrid quake.  I think God warned us with two eclipses and I think the U.S. generally ignored the warning.  Time was up last month, and disaster can properly be expected.  Nahum described some of the things we might expect:
The mountains quake before Him (earthquakes in mountainous regions), the hills melt (lava from volcanoes), and the earth heaves (subduction event) at His presence, yes, the world and all who dwell in it (that is, everyone on the planet will see or hear about it).
6 Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire (lava from volcanoes), and the rocks are thrown down by Him (could be rocks ejected by a volcano or a meteor shower).
7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him (rapture - we who trust Him can expect preservation).
8 But with an overflowing flood (tsunamis - expected results of Cascadia event) He will make an utter end of its place (land will be underwater), and darkness will pursue His enemies (massive amounts of smoke and ash will block the sun) - Nahum 1:5-8
So we'll see.  Some think our misery will begin with a war with Russia, but I think God wants to intervene and take credit for the judgment of America.  As I said, "as it was in the days of Lot."  We will become an object lesson for the rest of the world.  God could have used Sodom's enemies to destroy the city, but He chose to personally deliver the fire and brimstone.

Putin is reluctant.  He understands how quickly things will get VERY messy and how fast this could REALLY escalate out of control.  He seems adverse to collateral damage, and he knows the average American has no hostility toward Russia or the Russian people.  God could certainly use Russia and China to punish America.

But there's something else.  When God judges America, He will do it in a way that Putin never could.  Sure, Russia, China and North Korea could rain nuclear missiles on us, but that would be NOTHING compared to the damage God could do with earthquakes, CME's, volcanoes, tsunamis and meteor storms.

God could reduce the U.S. to a North American archipelago with no infrastructure, 18th century technology, and small tribal survival communities.  I think we've seen maps of what the U.S. might look like after major geological disasters.  This will put the world on notice:  they aren't dealing with Russian wrath; they are dealing with GOD's wrath.  And for those who see the object lesson and still refuse to repent, they will go into the trumpet and bowl judgments with eyes open and fists clenched in defiance.

Nahum mentioned a lot of judgments - none of which were visited on Nineveh with the possible exception of "overflowing flood" which did not drown the city but simply washed away part of the wall so the Babylonians could enter and conquer the city.  This suggests to me that ancient Nineveh was a type, and the U.S. could be the end-times anti-type.  Nahum was warning America.

With the U.S. taken out, NATO would quickly collapse and the impetus for World War Three would evaporate.  And the "bad guys" don't really want WW3 anyway.  They want to rule a world worth ruling, not a smoldering radioactive wasteland of dust, ashes and corpses.  If you're in a phone booth with your enemy, hand grenades don't work.  War in Europe is close quarters - there is no place to hide.  It's American Neocons who are pushing this, very probably because they're $32 trillion in debt and want to shoot their way out.

When America is destroyed, NATO will "make nice" to Putin and quickly dissolve.  The UN - headquartered in New York - will also become a bad memory, along with the Federal Reserve and the Wall Street "family."  BRICS is in a position to re-assemble what's left, sans "Uncle Sugar."  America's creditors - if they survive - will lick their wounds and try again.  They rode a fiat money gravy train for over a hundred years.  They will probably want to try it again with global CBDC's.

And we can believe the survivors and witnesses will cry "Peace and Safety!!"

I may have a few add-on ideas, but that's kind of what I expect.
