Thank you for sharing your interesting analysis of the story of Isaac and Rebekah. It was well thought out. I enjoyed it.
As far as "purifying the bride," the only thing scripturally that purifies anyone is the blood of Jesus. The Holy Spirit empowered and gifted the new Christians, but purifying them was already done by their faith and trust in Christ's blood to cleanse and redeem them. So that would rule out a second Rapture scripturally for those left behind on that basis. Plus, in the story of Isaac, I do not recall a second bride for him. If I missed it, let me know.It is my understanding that 144,000 virgin, Jewish men will be evangelizing the world at that time. The great end time harvest/revival will come as a result of the Great Tribulation which Jesus promised to save His Bride from as she is "not appointed unto God's wrath" on an unbelieving world. Those who become Christians after the Rapture will have to turn to Judaism (perhaps becoming something akin to a 'completed Jew') because the Gentile Bride of Christ will already be with Jesus in Heaven going through the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. The 'door to the ark' will already be closed for that purpose. No one else, besides Noah's family, got into the ark once that door was closed by God. Matt. 24:7 "..as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of Man be." I Peter 3:20 says, "God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was being prepared wherein few, that is eight souls, were saved by water." So it will be again.God has waited for 2,000+ years since the cross while a bride for Christ was forming (by those who accepted Christ's blood for the remission of their sins). Few souls will make it in; only those who are ready to go at the time of the Rapture. Verification for this is that in the story of the ten virgins only half go to be with Jesus as His bride. The other half are left behind. If there was some way to give them more time, or to double back and pick them up after the fact, God would have said so, but He didn't.The purpose of the Bride of Christ was to "make the Jews jealous," per God's word. During the Great Trib God will be 'wooing' his divorced bride, Israel, back to Himself. Some theologians say the Holy Spirit will still be at work on the Earth during the Great Trib but will not work in the same way He did with the Bride of Christ who will no longer be needed to make the Jews jealous. It appears, therefore, that of those 'left behind,' who go through the Great Trib, most or all will become martyrs. They will make up the spiritual friends of the Bride, or mothers, brothers, sisters to Jesus that He spoke of to His disciples while on Earth.I get this "friend of God" possibility from the book "Reese Howells Intercessor." In his book God asked him if he would like to be "a friend of God." God indicated this honor would entail martyrdom. Therefore, it appears that those who are left behind, who become martyrs for the cause of Christ, will have proven their friendship and loyalty to God and gained recognition and honor as something other than a bride to Christ.Interestingly enough, Zechariah 13:1 says that God will later open "a fountain" for purifying the remnant Jews at the end of the Great Trib. That tells me they won't be saved by the blood of Jesus which was intended for creating a Gentile bride. The "body of Christ" and the "Bride of Christ" are in effect one and the same thing. Just as Eve was created by taking a rib from Adam's side, so the Bride of Christ was created when the spear that pierced Christ's side caused blood to flow for her creation and purification. Isaiah 26:19, that foretells the Resurrection and Rapture, states "Thy dead men shall live, together with My dead body shall they arise..." In a vision someone was shown a large, bleeding body of Christ lying in the heavens at the Rapture and people flowing into it before it rose up and was taken to Heaven. It appears from the above that once that body of Christ is filled up at the Rapture there won't be room for others. Those martyred during the Great Trib will later rule and reign on the Earth. But to have the distinction of being His bride -- the "other half" of Jesus Christ -- intimately sharing His mind, power and authority to rule and reign over all His multi-verse creation with Him, they need to respond now before it is too late.
