Fay,Yes, that was amazing.I agree with you, and I really would prefer to believe that he was serious about Jesus.Why not give his profession of faith the benefit of the doubt?It's not like, if we get this wrong, we'll not make it in the blessed hope / rapture.I'm not sure how much time elapsed, from when the people in Corinth were saved, until they received Paul's epistles to them.But it would seem, by what Paul wrote, that a number of those believers still had much to turn from, overcome, or grow past.Wasn't that the point, though? Growing and maturing in Christ?Or that even after almost another generation, there were still significant areas requiring repentance, in 5 of the 7 churches in Asia?
