You bring up a frightening point.

I have wondered, what if someone grew up in a totally atheistic environment, without any knowledge of Jesus, the scriptures, or the church.

And they got hold of a Bible, and while they were reading the new testament, their heart was opened, and they called on Jesus to save them.

At that point, many of us have heard of a number of cases like that.

But after this, the person begins to read, reread, and re-reread the scriptures.

With only the scriptures and the Holy Ghost, what kinds of doctrines would they come to believe?

Without a third party influencing them, would they avoid deception?

Or would the devil still find a way to deceive them?
