TO NANSINGS: Why Near Death Experiences Do Not Prove That There Are People & Life On Other Planets - https://www.fivedoves.com/letters/july2026/donnad710-2.htmMy ReplyWhen I was a teenager, I became very interested in whether or not there was life on other planets. I read through my Bible to see if I could find anything about that. While reading my Bible one day the Holy Spirit opened my understanding re Psalm 33:6: "By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth." I had been reading "word of the Lord" and "breath of His mouth" as being one and the same thing, until I remembered that in Genesis God spoke everything but mankind into being; i.e., "Let there be light.." I had just assumed "host" were the stars, or angels, like we have been taught to believe. But when God made Adam, He blew into Adam's nostrils His "breath of life" and what happened? Adam became a "living soul." That's when it hit me. Inanimate objects don't need God's "breath of life!" I had finally found the verse I was looking for that would indicate God made human/human-like life throughout "the heavens." I noticed too that the verse didn't use a singular form of "heaven," but rather a plural one. The semi-colon, or "and," was dividing that which was inanimate (stars, planets, etc.) from that which required God's "breath of life" in order to be a "living soul" (i.e., human/human-like).Below are two verses that lend credence to Psalm 33:6 and there are others as well.It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the Earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:God is talking about the heavens (not just the Earth) as a "tent to dwell in." Thatmeans there has to be people in those heavens dwelling in them. They may not all look like us, but they needed God's "breath of life" in order to breathe as a "living soul."Thus saith God the Lord, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spreadforth the Earth, and that which cometh out of it; He that giveth breath unto the people upon it,and spirit to them that walk therein:As for whether or not there is sin on all other worlds, only God knows, but we can't negate all 'life after death' experiences just because some don't add up. That's like "trying to paint with too broad a brush," so to speak.I have come to the conclusion from reading many NDEs from all over the world, that Jesus doesn't tell everyone everything in their first encounter with Him so as not to pre-empt where they are in their spiritual learning experience if He is going to send them back to Earth because their time here is an on-going learning process. Also, depending on where the person is in their knowledge and/or relationship with Him, He doesn't always show His face. He will appear to those who don't have an intimate relationship with Him only as a bright light. As far as the test for sin elsewhere in the universe, as you will recall, Satan was cast down to the Earth where he is the "prince of the power of the air." When Satan tempted Jesus, he invited Jesus to worship him, stating all the kingdoms of the world were his to give. [Matt. 4:8-9] That will be the case only until Jesus puts down all rule, authority and power. [1 Cor. 15:24] Evidence of that was given when one alien, who met with George Adamski, commented that they find it easier to get angry once they are in Earth's environment. We have reason to believe the possibility that not all planets have sin based on the well- documented account of a Baptist minister, Rev. Barney and his wife, Betty Hill, who were abducted by aliens one night on their way home. Barney had the presence of mind while on board their craft to ask the Captain of the UFO "What about Jesus?" Barney wanted to know what they knew about Jesus, if anything. The Captain replied, "Jesus is savior of 12 worlds of which yours is the most evil."
That is certainly possible as millions of people have been abducted by aliens over time, especially in the 20th and 21rst Centuries and taken to other worlds where, no doubt, they have been used in hybrid breeding experiments which would spread Adam's sin seed to aliens as well. So, alien/human hybrids need salvation as a result. Perhaps that's where the Vatican gets their idea of baptizing aliens. ;)Rev. Howard Storm, Sr. Pastor, Covington United Church of Christ, made the following observations during his brief visit to Heaven:What Other Beings Look Like - By Dr. Howard Storm:"Jesus wasn't a carpenter on every single one of these worlds. Our world is on the lower level of spiritual development. In many of these [other] worlds Jesus didn't have to go and be crucified and die on the cross for their sins."There are worlds where people are perfectly good, have no sin and don't allow evil to be a part of their lives. There are worlds where the people have chosen good and rejected evil and lived a life profoundly in the love of God and of their neighbors. Jesus could go to these worlds and just bless them and they happily accepted Him. Can you imagine a world where Jesus came and people said, "Yes, we knew and understood this is what you wanted us to be. Thank you for being a revelation. From the beginning of time we have known you and understood the way you wanted us to live."
"This world, Earth, is unique because of the degree, not only of temptation, but the willingness to accept temptation and failing the testing that we are in."When I asked to see what other intelligent beings looked like, images of beings were paraded in front of me. They started off as humans and then they got a little stranger looking, and a little stranger looking, and then they became unrecognizable as human beings and looked very weird. I said, "Okay, I get it. They can be shaped in very different ways. Fine, I get it.""In other words there are worlds in which they have this kind of shape (Ed., human) and worlds where they take on very different kinds of shape. But the shape of us in this world is of little importance. What is important is our spiritual being because we are beings of light - beings of love. In a sense, this tent that we live in now is not who we truly are -- and in our immortal bodies we are glorious. In this body it's more like a little pup tent, or prison." -- Howard Storm NDE / scroll way down at the website to "Other Life In Our Universe," at: http://pub48.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.php..."The four key elements for life are Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen. A typical star produces these elements more than any other, with the exception of Helium. In other words, the Universe is predisposed for promoting life!
"There are billions of stars in our galaxy alone, with one to five planets in their Habitable Zone orbiting them." -- - EarthSky, 11/5/13
"Scientists from University of California, Berkeley and University of Hawaii, Manoa, have statistically determined that twenty percent of Sun-like stars in our galaxy have Earth-sized planets that could host life. The findings, gleaned from data collected from NASA’s Kepler spacecraft and the W. M. Keck Observatory, now satisfy Kepler’s primary mission [which is] to determine how many of the 100 billion stars in our galaxy have potentially habitable planets.
“What this means is, when you look up at the thousands of stars in the night sky, the nearest sun-like star with an Earth-size planet in its habitable zone is probably only 12 light years away and can be seen with the naked eye. That is amazing,” said UC Berkeley graduate student Erik Petigura, who led the analysis of the Kepler and Keck Observatory data.
"It is overwhelmingly likely that our vast wonderous Universe is teeming with life.
"Our Earth is incredibly old – 4.5 billion years. (Ed., It was destroyed by satan and the 1/3rd fallen angels when they were cast out of Heaven -- between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 -- and was recreated. That's why God told Adam and Eve to "replenish" the Earth. Genesis 1:28) And yet, the Bible tells us that the Lord had you and me in mind, before the foundation of the world. His plan for us has been unfolding for billions of years. Deep time refers to the entirety of geologic history, an unimaginable length of time that goes far beyond our human scale. Only an infinite God could plan at such scales.
"In fact, the Lord’s plan was in place before He even created the Universe:
"Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to build up the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness, in the hope of eternal life that God, who cannot lie, promised before time began. (Titus 1:1-2)
"He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. (2 Timothy 1:9)
"Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love, He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will, to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved.
