At the sounding of the seventh trumpet, the four angels bound in the Euphrates are loosed to slay the third part of men:

Revelation 9:14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

  15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

  16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

  17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

  18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

My first question is whether the third part of men means a third part of those people who live in the vicinity of the Euphrates, or does it mean a third of the population of the entire planet?

The westernmost part of the Euphrates is in Turkey, at that point, about 1084 km (674 miles) from where Laodicea was.

Further down the Euphrates, where it passes through Syria, it comes within about 800 km from Jerusalem.

So, if the third part of men, is referring to the people living around the Euphrates, will it be all along the Euphrates area, or at only one location?

The Euphrates starts up in the mountains of Turkey, close to where Noah's ark ended up resting.

It travels through Turkey, then it passes through Syria, then it passes through Iraq, then for a shorter distance, after it joins with the Tigris, it also borders Iran, before flowing into the Gulf.

Is there one angel bound in the part in Turkey, another bound in Syria, another in Iraq, and the fourth in Iran?

All four of these are muslim nations.

Or are all four bound together in the same one location?

So if, by the third part of men, is referring to the vicinity of the river, then if this happens in our time, the people killed by the fire, smoke, and brimstone, will mostly be muslims?

It mentions men, so will women and children be excluded from this plague?

Another question is about the horses.

There are currently estimated to be only about 60 million horses on the earth right now, nowhere near 200 million.

Also, the description of these horses is nowhere near describing earthly horses.

Earthly horses do not have heads like lions, nor do they have fire, smoke, and brimstone coming out of their mouths.

Additionally, the horses from heaven, mentioned in Revelation 19, also are not like these horses.

So, is it possible, that the 200 million horses are actually horses from hell?

If that is so, then are the riders also from hell?

Wouldn't breastplates of fire burn earthly riders?

So, when the four angels are loosed, do they in turn let loose this cavalry from hell?

After the killing is over, does the 200 million cavalry go back to hell?

What happens to the four angels after this?

When Jesus completed creating everything by the sixth day:

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

So, were the four angels originally part of the "very good", and at some point thy sinned, and were then bound in the Euphrates?

The alternative would be that he created four violent, killer angels, which were therefore bound from creation?

Or, after these four angels sinned, they became like they are, and similar to the angels that fell were put in chains of darkness under the earth, were these four, rather, bound in the river?
