The groundwork is being laid for the Gog/Magog war of Ezekiel 38.  After JD Vance's seismic interview on the Joe Rogan show, where Vance viciously threw Israel under the bus, this is not a mere assumption.  The truth is that the Trump administration would be at war with Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, with or without bringing Israel into the equation.  JD Vance masterfully re-directed the blame for this war, on to Israel.  

 

Once Iran is obliterated in the Jeremiah 49 prophecy, we can now see how Ezekiel 38 follows soon after.  The hatred of the nations against Israel is baring it's fangs.  Any pretence at being an ally and 'best friend' of Israel, has begun being dismantled.
