The song September by Earth, Wind, and Fire references the night of September 21st in a celebratory way. The lyrics sound like something permanent and long awaited takes place and it's good news. I believe the band has an album titled "I AM" as well.
Rosh Hashanah begins Monday 9/22 and runs through 9/24. The 21st night of September would actually be the very beginning of that time span in the U.S. because Israel is 8 ish hours ahead of the U.S. and the date changes from the 21st to the 22nd on the evening of the 21st according to Jewish tradition. Could it be a clue?
Do you remember
The 21st night of September?
Love was changin' the minds of pretenders
While chasin' the clouds away
and
Our hearts were ringin'
In the key that our souls were singin'
As we danced in the night, remember
How the stars stole the night away, oh, yeah
and
My thoughts are with youHoldin' hands with your heart to see youOnly blue talk and love, rememberHow we knew love was here to stay

The second sign which matches the timing in the song is from the movie Evan Almighty. Steve Carell is visited by God and told to build an ark. God warns him that if the ark is not finished by noon on September 22nd, he would be. Steve immediately exclaims, "Is that when it happens?! September 22nd mid-day?" The time comes and a dam breaks flooding the low lying areas. I thought of this story when I read something similar about the floods in Texas. Anyway, here's that clip:
