“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” I Thessalonians 5:3.And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring…” Luke 21:25“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Luke 21:28“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:36Dear Doves,I don’t know about the rest of the world, but it has been pretty wet in the United States. Rain, flooding, flash floods, earthquakes and tsunami warnings. It makes me wonder if we are seeing a Biblical Birth Pattern play out. A woman’s water will break at the time her baby is ready to be born. She will also have contractions. Similarly, we have seen quite a frequent number of earthquakes lately (i.e. contractions?) and the number of water events could relate to the breaking of water before birth. The Bible makes an analogy of childbirth to the end times. Could the recent seismic and volcanic activity and catastrophic water events point to where we are on the prophetic calendar? Is a birth at hand?I have thought that the Rapture could be a type of birth event. Since we get physical bodies at our first birth, it follows that we should get an immortal bodies as a result of our second birth.“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” 1Corinthians 15:51-54.Ironically, both we and the earth groan like a woman in labor as we await our new bodies:“Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:21-23.I think that we have been witnessing the labor pains of creation and may have been doing our share of groaning as we wait for the redemption of our bodies. Family, take heart, we are so close to being changed from mortal to immortal. The water has broken and the contractions have been multiplying. The earth groans. Look up for your redemption draws nigh!Maranatha,– Lisa Taylor
