I have often wondered about those same scriptures in Hosea:

Hosea 5:14b I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

  15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

So, could those possibly be related to these?

John 7:33 Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.

Matthew 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

  9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Zechariah 12:10b  and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
