The beginning was not a mark in time, but a thought in the mind of the Creator. John chapter 1 tells us, “In the beginning was the Word” then “all things were made through Him” contains the idea is that the Word (Jesus) originated all things. Our dimension was created out of nothing. But before its creation, the Word had endlessly existed.

 

Hebrews 1:3 reminds us that the Jesus the Son is said to be continually “upholding all things by the word of His power.”

 

In Revelation 22:13 Jesus says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” From our perspective, this is no doubt, an understatement, and we will never be able to comprehend these things of God. 

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts,” Isaiah 55.
