"A timeline conjecture"
I hope you will prayerfully consider
the following.
For the Jews (and indeed all the world!) the 9th of Av is
primarily a day connected with rebellion and the
destruction of the Temple(s). (NOTE: often
neglected in the discussion of the Temple is that it was
not a "Jewish" Temple or a Temple just for Jews, but was
by God's sovereign intent "a house of prayer for all
nations." [Isaiah 56:7, Mark
11:17] It was OUR Temple,
also.) The 9th of Av is known as "the fast of the
fifth month and, as such, is referred to in Zechariah 8:19
where the Lord promises that this particular day will be "joy
and gladness and cheerful feasts" at some future
time. That is, some extremely joyful event will
occur on some future 9th of Av that will
completely overwhelm the misery usually associated with
this particular day. As I will suggest, the
anointing of the Millennial Temple could be that event.
Daniel 9:24 lists six (seven in the LXX) "agenda items"
that the Lord will accomplish for the Jews and Jerusalem
before the 70 weeks are concluded. The final item is
"anoint the Most Holy." There are a few ideas on
what this might mean, but I think it's clarified in
Ezekiel 43:12, 44:13, 45:3 and 48:12. The "Most
Holy" or "Most Holy Place" is the Millennial
Temple complex. Something or someone is "anointed"
when it is put into service. Kings were anointed to
begin their reigns. Accordingly, it makes sense that
the Millennial Temple will be anointed when it is "opened"
at the beginning of the Millennium.
Jesus is not the "most holy" in this context. He is
ALREADY King of kings and Lord of lords. He was
anointed for burial. He is already serving as our
High Priest. So He can't be anointed at some future
time to inaugurate His role as Savior, High Priest, or
King. As for an anointing to a prophetic office, we
refer back to Daniel 9 where we see that vision and
prophecy are "sealed up" (presumably fulfilled and
concluded) by the end of the final 'week' so Jesus would
have no role as a Prophet.
It would fulfill part of the Zechariah 8 prophecy for the
Millennial Temple complex to be anointed on the 9th of Av
in some future year. According to HebCal, the 9th of
Av seven years from now will be August 1, 2028. If
that is the end of Daniel's 70th week, we can count back
2,550 days to calculate the beginning of the 70th week. If
we assume that the Temple is anointed on the very last day
of Daniel's 70th week, the final seven years would begin
on this coming August 8th.
The final seven years begins with the confirmation of a
covenant. The rapture must happen before
the covenant is confirmed. Day
#1 is when the covenant is confirmed. There
are lots of folks who think the covenant is a 7-year
"peace treaty" between "The Antichrist" and the
Jews/Israel. I find this conjecture to be extremely
problematic, and I've concluded that Daniel 9:27 is
talking about a covenant confirmed by Jesus the Messiah
with the Jews.
Twice in Revelation, Jesus warned us concerning "those
who say they are Jews and are not, but lie."
We see something similar in politics, with those who say
they are conservatives and are not. They run as
conservatives, make conservative promises, get
conservative support, but then when they are in a position
to act, they betray those who trusted them. I think
the same thing is going on in the land of Israel.
Tel Aviv is the gay playground of the Mediterranean,
claiming to be the "gayest city on the planet."
Abortion is a government-sponsored "right" and the State
of Israel has killed more Jews than Hitler ever did.
Or perhaps "Jews" - as they may have neither legal nor
genetic claim as Jacob's descendents. https://www.unz.com/pgiraldi/joe-biden-bows-to-force-majeure/
I bring this up because we expect, from prophecy, that the
Jews will be preserved in the wilderness for 1,260 days
(Rev. 12:6,14). We can probably expect that the
"Jews" who are running the State of Israel will remain in
place. True Jews and those resurrected will be
gathered and preserved, possibly in Petra. King
David will be king over them (Ezek. 37:24). It
appears that at the Parousia, David will be relegated to
"prince" and will be their prince forever (verse
25). For more on David's role and status in the
Millennium, see Ezekiel 44:3, 46:2-18.
God made certain earthly promises to faithful Jews (read
Hebrews 11) who died before receiving them. God will
raise them up and they will receive everything God
promised. This, I believe, will be the confirmation
of the covenant. Ezekiel 37 is a resurrection
passage, and Revelation 7:3-8 is the confirmation (ref.
Ezek. 37:26). The final seven years begins with an
earthquake, a resurrection event, and a
confirmation.
(The "shaking"
in Ezek.37:7 [H7493] is properly rendered
"earthquake.") I am rather persuaded that
the resurrection of the Jews in Ezek. 37 happens at the
same time as the resurrection/rapture of Christians.
This could be several days before the final 'week' begins.
If this conjecture is correct (or reasonably close), then
Satan's 42-month global reign of terror (Rev. 13:5) must
end by March 28, 2025. This means it begins no later
than this coming October 15.
So a rapture on the upcoming 9th of Av is a distinct
possibility, but any day this month will work.
