Mass riots broke out in South Africa over the weekend. Monday brought more death and destruction. The former President, Jacob Zuma, was starting his 15 month jail sentence for contempt of court. Zuma is facing charges of corruption...which is hardly surprising. The main point of posting this news is that this year is the 20th anniversary of the vile Durban Conference in 2001. That wicked conference had Israel branded as an apartheid state and was so anti-Semitic, the delegates from Israel actually feared for their lives.
The Durban conference happened mere days prior to 9/11. There was a total solar eclipse over southern Africa in June 2001, as well. The timing of these terrible riots is interesting - to say the least. Methinks the chickens are coming home to roost for the ruling party there - ANC.
