Av 9 starts at sunset on Saturday
17 July and finishes at sunset on
Sunday 18 July
2021. It is
incredibly remarkable that
the
two temples in Jerusalem were destroyed on
the
same date (Av 9) over 490 years apart!! This
is also the date of
expulsions from England and Spain
and the start of WWI. The
Jerusalem post
had an article on 10 August 2019 (
link below)
that looked at
seven Jewish tragedies on this date.
Certainly worth watching this date in 2021, just as the
Olympics gets underway and Covid 19 continues to afflict many
nations.
