Let There Be Light!
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
(Genesis 1:1-3)

What is light? Light is made up of bundles of energy called photons. At the speed of light there is no time and no distance. While a fascinating fact for scientists, it speaks to the heart of God.
We all know that when God incarnated as Jesus, he “entered” his creation as a mortal man. But have you considered that he had already entered it and is omnipresent everywhere at all time in a very real scientific sense?
The first words in the Bible state that God created the universe and earth. Then He describes his creation in His own Godly way. His very next step was to create light. That light exceeds all boundaries, breaks down all barriers, exists beyond time and without distance. He is LITERALLY everywhere and ever present WITH US.
Let this comfort you today as you contemplate His Words.
“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5)
The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. (Isaiah 60:19-20)
"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John 8:12)
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. – Luke 21:36
