It must have been so difficult for Mary not to be bitter, angry, or unforgiving, when she saw how the chief priests, scribes, Pharisees, rulers of the people, and the Romans, treated her Son, mocking him, beating him, scourging him, spitting at him, and crucifying him.Yet she heard him, by his own lips, pray for these same people:
Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
And Mary was with the disciples, in the upper room, after Jesus ascended:
Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
But wouldn't most of us have been angry, bitter, and unforgiving, in similar circumstances? How difficult was it for her?
