The very first thing David did as king of Israel, was to take Jerusalem for the LORD:
I Chronicles 11:3 Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.4 And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
Is it possibly a picture of when Jesus comes back as King of kings, that he retakes Jerusalem?
Is the following a picture of the wedding supper?
I Chronicles 12:39 And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
Is the following a picture of the joy and worship that will be in Israel, when the kingdom is established?Then it was king David, and it the worship was because of the ark of the covenant.But then it will be King Jesus, and the worship will be because of him, and for him:
I Chronicles 15:25 So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
I Chronicles 12:40b for there was joy in Israel.
Is the ending of I Chronicles, and the beginning of II Chronicles, possibly a picture of first, the warrior King,but then the peaceful kingdom oof the Prince of Peace?
