In 1975 after my service in the military God called me and I became a Born Again Christian. Then as a young believer in Christ I made a list of  vocations in life that were of greatest interest to me. I presented the list to God and asked, which would be the best to choose? God answered and said, "All of these are good and I can use use you in anyone of them but, there is a better way, a more excellent way." I then folded the list, placed it in my bible and said, "let's go."

In 1979 I was told by the Lord that your ministry is to the Body of Christ and in due season you will preach a message. Years of training, growing, failing and ministry followed. Eighteen years later - the message came. 

What Time is it? - A vision for the Body of Christ
 
In August of 1997  I (Doug L) was in a place of transition. I had recently sold my house in Bend, Oregon and was staying with a friend while preparing to move back to Southern California.  The sale of my house was prompted by a very clear message from God Himself.
 
I was very content with my life at that time. I lived a simple life but had all I needed. I lived in a small house in the woods on an acre outside of Bend with privacy and room to breath. My expenses were very low and easy to manage.  My mortgage could easily be paid off in a few short years with minimal income from buying and selling vehicles.  I was ready to retire from the world!   It seems that at the very moment that retirement crossed my mind, God spoke. He said that I was too young to retire and that I was to get back  into the battle, sell everything and then wait for His instruction. I then listed my house for sale, by owner, in the local newspaper. Within days I received a full price offer for the house plus the buyer wanted to purchase all my furniture for an additional payment. We submitted all our paperwork to an escrow company and within a few weeks I was homeless. Now staying at my friends house I waited and prayed to the Lord for His direction.
 
One day in particular I was in my room and it came to my mind to ask the Lord this question.   What time is it?
 
The Vision -
  
The very next moment I found myself viewing a scene of what I thought was the world. I was corrected and noticed that it was the United States I was seeing from a position above it.

The Body of Christ in America -
 
Immediately I recognized the shape of the U.S. with internal lines dividing each state. Then I saw a large dark, human shaped figure stretched out across the U.S.  from shore to shore in a lying position -  much like a crime scene body is chalked out on the ground.  All across the U.S. it seemed to be pixelated but these dots  were people and the body was also filled with people. Both were black in color but somewhat translucent. I could see a faint outline of the body as it's people were slightly different in shade from the rest of the U.S. Then it became more and more difficult to distinguish the people inside the body  from the surrounding  people and the outline of the body faded away. People began to blend together until all the people looked the same.  The body was no longer separate and visible.  All was dark.
 
I then saw a beautiful woman, as if a bride, dressed in  white with a veil and outstretched arms and hands - open facing up - calling out to "Come." She appeared to glow in brilliant white light.
I then noticed that some of the dark spots all across the US, that were actually people,  began to light up and rise out of the darkness toward the woman.  As they ascended their light became brighter  until being merged completely with the woman.  As they were united, her brilliance increased.
As I watched I was told that these are those who hear and obey the Spirit - to come out  of the dead body and prepare themselves as a spotless bride.... to be ready when their Lord calls them at any moment.  They are His Bride. It was a change of identity - from Church to bride.
When the Bride is complete the call will end and so will the Church Age. The Bride will be taken out to be joined with the Lord.
 
This is the time we live in.
 
In summary -

The institutional, organized body of Christ in America, responsible for it's evangelization, is dead. It's time has run out. The Spirit and the Bride are calling out to people, who are listening, to come out of the dead churches and to now be identified as the Bride of Christ. (a new identity and witness for Christ - their first love, spotless, without wrinkle and blameless, obedient and faithful to the end)

After Jesus is finished judging the entire Church throughout the world and the Bride is taken out.....the darkness and lawlessness will increase until Jesus returns to judge the world and establish His kingdom on earth.
