2 Thessalonians 2:3 can be understood as a passage that teaches the Rapture will occur before the Lawless One is revealed.  Professor Thomas Ice of Liberty
 University explains this theory in a very readable 3 1/2 article that is posted on the Liberty University site:

 Dr. David Reagan, Dr. Timmothy LaHaye, Professor Daniel Davey, and many others, agree with Professor Ice.  Davey states "it is with full assurance of proper
exegetical study and with complete confidence in the original languages, that the word meaning apostasia is defined as departure."

Professor Ice's article is very strong reason to believe in the Pretribulation Rapture Theory.
